Artist’s Statement

Based on texts, which I have composed, my artistic practice explores the use of language as an image- and space-creating device. By constantly changing perspectives, I describe various interpersonal conditions in order to evoke multi-layered imaginary spaces and reflect social experiences. Thereby, I abstract my subjects to fragmentary, poetically readable units of meaning.

I use and combine a range of media and techniques, such as typography, drawing, printmaking, photography, video and sound, to visualise a theme or with a particular site-specific installation in mind.
